I like a tall confidence; a fit of force at nature's best. The emboldened gait of yesterday's fright, casting shadows as it glides. Own each step as you control the respective space. If pound of pavement be a precious rhythm, soon you'll see us close beside.
Love this one Phil 🙂 The emboldened gait of yesterday fright casting shadows…mmm 🙂

Thank you. Took a little lunch break and saw the piece in motion…fortunate enough that my only job was to write it down.

Cannot force it! Has to be just the right time, but I’m sure it will make an appearance in due time…. 😉

Those are the best poems, the ones who come to you on their own will to exist.
I’ve read your own a couple times now and something about it makes me feel better, despite a long period of not being at my best. That ending, where the reader is joined by supportive others. It’s a beautiful hope.

It’s the best kind of hope too…that which is animated by action. I’m glad it made you feel something and I appreciate your thoughtful comments.

Thank you, John. I appreciate the kind words. I like to think that life has the rhythm, my job is to pen it as accurately as possible!!
Thank you again for reading.

ps, I read the ‘About’ page on your blog and enjoyed it very much. We like many of the same writers, so I’m very interested to read more of your work.

Thank you. I plan to post more on a regular basis. Either new pieces or older works from my files (often revised). I hope you enjoy them. Your thoughts and feedback is welcomed.

The poem has depth and suggestivity … if that’s a word!

Since it’s a positive sentiment, I’ll certainly consider it a word ;). Thank you friend.
