The covenant of men: see as, say nothing. Then here we are, the fruitless multipliers of the irrational stasis. Wedded once and forever to each other and the notions of our weaker selves. Who called for prostration amongst these glorious beasts? Who but ourselves could form the will to surrender?
Oooh, thanks for the follow – now I have another great blog to see in my reader, as well. Aloha.

This is intriguing, though I am uncertain if I take your meaning, as my thoughts go in one direction in one reading and in another the second. OH Yes, I see know π Brilliance!

‘Who called for prostration amongst these glorious beasts?’ Who indeed? And yet it is so intrinsic to our nature. I blame our parents.

You describe the danger of being in this conformist world perfectly. Personally I believe nothing I read, not even this …

The ideas strike me as Nietzschean … is he an influence?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, but only in the sense that he’s an influence to anyone who’s considered the development of intellectual history over the last 150 years. Rather than label him an influence, I’d categorize him as a kindred spirit. When I read him I feel more like I am conversing than listening.
There are existentialist strains running through a lot of my writing, though I hesitate to use that term exclusively for fear of misinterpretation. I see Nietzsche as a forebearer to the French existentialist thinkers and they are kindred spirits as well, particularly Camus (The Stranger is one of my favorite novels).

Know just what you mean about conversing rather than listening. His take on human evolution is fascinating. Wonder what he would have made of the internet …

Perhaps, but it’s conditional….you may never paint a picture of utopia as being a place of maximum market efficiency. My utopia is sexier than all that π
